With more than three decades of experience, Michael Edward Biddy brings clarity, confidence, and a seasoned eye to every interior he creates. An Atlanta native, Michael’s career was shaped early on by working with respected industry names including The Furniture Works, Forsyth Fabrics, and Hilda Flack Interiors. These were foundational experiences that refined both his technical skill and discerning eye.
In 1998, he founded Edward M. Interiors, a full-scale design firm that grew into a thriving operation with a staff of eight, complete with an in-house drapery workroom, upholstery shop, and retail boutique. His work during this time spanned residential and commercial projects across Tampa, Atlanta, Georgia’s Golden Isles, and Washington, D.C.
Fox & Pheasant offers two levels of interior design assistance to suit a range of needs. By appointment, clients are welcome to visit our shop and explore a full library of fabrics, trims, finishes, and design ideas, with guidance to help bring individual rooms and projects together thoughtfully and beautifully.
For those seeking a more personal and comprehensive approach, we also offer in-depth interior design services through Michael Biddy. This tailored experience provides hands-on collaboration, creative direction, and a cohesive vision developed specifically for your home or project.

Nestled along the railroad tracks in the heart of Boyce, Virginia, Fox & Pheasant is a place meant to be discovered slowly — and savored.
Housed in what was once the town’s post office and later a dry goods store, our shop blends history with a carefully curated mix of antique, vintage, and new pieces. From handsome furniture and gorgeous rugs to garden statuary, lighting, and distinctive home accessories. Every item is chosen with an eye toward craftsmanship, character, and timeless appeal.
We believe a home should feel layered, personal, and collected — never rushed or overdone.
Our Story
The Fox & Pheasant was founded by partners Michael Edward Biddy and Scott Davis, longtime interior designers who share a passion for thoughtful design and gracious living.
Michael, with more than three decades in the design and fabric industry, brings a deep knowledge of textiles, scale, and proportion. After growing up and working in the Atlanta area, he made Virginia home and continues to serve clients through Michael Edward Biddy Interiors.
Scott, formally trained in interior design, has built his career around the belief that design is both an art and a discipline. With experience spanning the Lowcountry of the Carolinas to Virginia’s hunt country, he brings a refined yet approachable sensibility to every project.
Together, we believe good design begins by honoring what people already love.
In Virginia’s hunt country, we’ve found clients who cherish tradition — family heirlooms, collected pieces, and furnishings with history. Rather than starting over, our approach is to thoughtfully accentuate what you own while introducing elements that elevate and refresh your space.

Fox & Pheasant remains filled with antiques, gorgeous rugs, and distinctive home accessories. We have brass figurines to beautiful lamps and statement furnishings. With the recent expansion, our full design center has joined the retail space, creating a seamless experience for clients.
“We are a full-service interior design business,” Biddy explains. “We can help with paint, wall coverings, carpeting, flooring, furniture, draperies — anything within your four walls.”
For clients who prefer a lighter touch, we also offer flexible consultation services. We provide guidance tailored to individual needs, whether comprehensive or selective. Outside the interiors, the garden space has expanded as well. It now features native plants, flowers, shrubs, and outdoor accessories that complement the home and landscape alike.
